You Should Eat! got its start in 2000 when Scott worked at a local microbrewery.  The brewery was an old, quirky building in the middle of Midtown.  When customers rented the facility for private events, they would inquire about catering.  Being passionate about food, Scott, with no formal culinary training, decided to start a catering company and created his own apprenticeship by hiring local professional chefs.

After a few years of on-the-job learning, Scott began developing his own recipes and executing them for his guests.  Scott left the brewery and began full-service catering for clients around the Atlanta area, catering scores of weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and home and corporate events.  You Should Eat! gained a reputation for high quality, inventive events focusing on customer service.  Scott sold his catering business, but never lost his passion for cooking.

During the covid pandemic, lots of friends complained about the grind of preparing and cooking multiple meals every day.  Home delivery began to skyrocket.  Scott thought to himself – planning and preparing meals is my passion and I see a need.  People want healthy, tasty, homemade meals – but they don’t want to prepare them every night. Eager to get back into the culinary world, Scott began the second iteration You Should Eat! to provide the same high quality creations for meal delivery and drop-off catering.
